Welcome to BABBL
This Blood Bowl League's got Balls!
The Brisbane Area Blood Bowl League is a tabletop Blood bowl league using the Competition Rules Pack (aka: Living Rule Book 6) as its base. BABBL is built around an Scheduled Structure, where each game in a teams line up is set out before them, maximising tension and excitement.
We gather about once a week to inflict as much carnage and mayhem as one game of football can allow. At the end of our league's 16 week season, one mighty team wins the honour of calling themselves the BABBL CHAMPIONS!
Here at BABBL online you will find links to all our teams & players (both past & present) and you can track the progress of your favourite squad right down to the smallest detail as they struggle, tooth & nail, for a chance to hoist the BABBL Bowl.

New Season announced The BABBL's shiny new Commish has announced the start date for Season 14 - the 3rd of June.
You gotta be in it to win it.

All Hail the New Commish! I'm happy to announce that DevilsReject will be taking over as commissioner of BABBL starting in Season XIV.

Season Thirteen underway The new Season, Season thirteen of the BABBL kicked off on the 13th of November, with a good turnout of coaches to Good Games on league night.
Many a good-natured sledge was heard to be shouted around the room, including by and at people in different matches.
The first four regular season games plus the Northern Wastes Challenge are scheduled before Christmas, with the league then taking a short hiatus of ~4 weeks over the Xmas/New Years holiday period before restarting in mid January 2013 with Round 5 and the run in to the Dungeonbowl.
The Commish and I are both very happy to welcome back some old time coaches to the fold. In particular Hipcat has returned after an overseas sojourn that has seen him miss sitting on the BABBL sidelines for the last 10 seasons.
Season 13 is shaping up to be a bashfest of epic proportions, with just a sprinkle of elves and rats to keep the CPOMBers honest. |

Season Twelve - Complete Season 12 has come to a close, and in a hard fought final match, the Cajun Critters took out the championship. The Gods of Hellfire's bashiness just wasn't on song, and they had no answers for the awesome running game of the Critters skinks.
End result 3-1 to the Critters produced the first BABBL championship for their coach Greedy Smurf, having only ever taken Bronze on two previous occasions. |

Season Twelve Point Five The halfway mark has been reached and the BABBL is heating up nicely in the final push for the RotGut Dungeon Match!
With the top 4 teams all of 14 points and plenty of talent nipping at their heels, the last two games before the Dungeon have become a desperate choke hold on the divisional leads! A minor misstep by any of these would-be champions will pave the way for a competitor to breeze their way past.
Even an appearance in the RotGut is coveted so greatly that some would suggest that it's more valuable that the BABBL Bowl itself (obviously that's madness) so hang on tight, it's gonna be a bumpy ride! |
